Although sarcastic, you do have a good message. Thank you to all the volunteers, coaches, parents, etc. I think the tournament turned out to be a mild success. We did hit a couple of early snags, but once the ball was rolling, I think it worked great. Next year, we can only improve. Thanks again for the time and dedication to the GCWC.
As for the sarcastic comments about people involved in the club, we should keep everything positive. Bill Salas, as well as his family, worked hard helping run the tournament and it is appreciated.

think nothing of it. it was the least i could do for all of my new found friends over at g.c. wrestling. not that i feel that i owe you or anybody else an explanation. but i havnt been in good health for the past 4 months, needless to say i went through 2 courses of anti-biotics fighting a severe chest cold to boot. people that know me know that i have more than done my share of contributing my time and labor fundraising in the past. where were you at when we did the tailgate party on the landing? as a matter of fact where were a lot of you? and 1 more thing i havnt taken a thing from this club. when i wanted something to eat and drink i bought it from the concession stand. i paid for my own coaches card, furnish my own way to the tournaments and my wife and i pay for our kids tournament fee. and if theres anything left over we help some other kids on the team. with friends like you i dont need any enemies. oh but i forgot your just a sarcastic tournament worker.

To Sarcastic person, who can't give their name. Before you criticize someone, you need to know the facts. My husband has been ill for the past year. My husband and I along with other people, have offered our help, but for some reason, there are some members with this club, who don't need any of our help, so instead of stepping on anybody's toes, we all have decided to take a step back. Anybody who knows the Pixley's will vouch, that we have always helped any club we have been a part of, so again, know your facts, before you take a stab at someone. If you have a problem with any of the Pixley's, please feel free to call us at 451-9820, to discuss this further, if not, I would appreciate your comments about my family, to be kept to yourself... Thank you - the Pixley;s

The Pixley's owe nobody an explanation. I have seen Mr. and Mrs. Pixley working hard with this club, they have been great. Administrator should erase the first post. We should be as positive as possible. I am grateful to have such wonderful people around to help with this club. Let's just keep this ball rolling and continue to progress.
Thank you all who support us

I thought the tournament was a success. I'm sure everyone enjoyed be home by four and besides the early minor obstacles and weeks of prior planning it ran well. Thank you to everyone.

first of all i think we need to think before we put things on this board . i was taught from ryan king that wrestling is a family and thur the years i found that to be true. so i think if there is a problem go to them. and i have worked with the pixleys for along time and they are always both right there. for yous that don't know there has been some strong health things going on in their life. also there has been strong problems on how you can help thur this team. so i really feal check out your own closet see if you have done everything you can for this team before you type. us old wrestlers love the kids and respect the sport. lets think of the team. no more hurt fealings. do want you can for this team to make it work and don't worry about your wrestling brother or sister.
CAPS OFF PLEASE. thanks

Thank you so much Tammy Rill, for realizing, what is important. Nobody should be on this forum bashing another team member, for no reason whatsoever.. I hope the bashers, isn't teaching our kids, to be like that, because that is not the sport were in.. Were a family and we should all stick together, to make this team a success and that is what we should be teaching these kids... Apparently, your ethics and teaching skills of this sport, isn't what these kids need. Either be a team player or step away from this sport..

once the tournament got started I thought it was run very well.
few ideas for next year: *do away with faxed weigh ins *hospitality room would probably keep refs and coaches out of the workers hair *if we are keeping the same bracket system a couple more laptops would help cut time *as soon as we get entries I would suggest dumping them into one main spreadsheet
To sarcastic tournament worker
I believe it was around 12:30am when I left the high school the night before the tournament. During the tournament I was helping coach a few kids some from GC and some from other clubs, one kid from TSL had no coach. His dad is a personal friend of mine so I was really obligated.
Should I bring a crew of 6 for the next year? had 3 runners/table workers, my daughter ran since the morning, worked a table from 12:00pm - last match. I know from first hand Dawn Pixley and Kris Salas went to help when they got there, someone said it was covered for now. So they both went up in the stands.
As far as myself if you must really know, I was with Cain and Michael since their training doesn't stop because of a tournament, they were with a personal trainer. I did come back to help when we were done but noticed everyone was gone.
My wife had to drop 2 of the 3 kids off at home and go to work since she works 7:00pm - 7:00am. She was up for over 24 hours.
Anymore information I should disclose?

Special thanks to John Venne for his hard work and great job he did with the brackets. Had some issues that really weren't his fault, his good organization skills got us through.

I agree with almost everything admin said. Between scratches and add ons which were needed to boost our numbers the faxed weights were rough. As far as the program goes it worked well once the tournament started and venne did an excellent job but the spreadsheet idea would help that out a lot. I think it was nicely ran for being our first and hopefully we can iron out all the wrinkles for next years tournament.

I would just like to thank all of the parents and coaches that have been so instrumental in this year's tournament. Yes, I think it is fair to say, that everyone involved became stressed or frustrated in some way during its onset. BUT.. in review, everyone got through it like we should-- as a team. This tournament is for our children, I think that is what needs to be remembered. As far as, sarcastic remarks on who did what-- that is completely uncalled for. The Salas's, Pixley's, Whitford's, Kirgen's, Rozell's, complete stranger's that I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time at our tournament, and on and on...put their heart, soul, sweat, tears, and most importantly, TIME into this weekend. And as for me, I am extremely grateful. Thank You EVERYONE.

I personally felt the tournament went very well after the late start. I have said since it ended that I felt the competition there was excellent. Win or lose the kids wrestled tough. I think we have a very dedicated group of coaches, workers, parents, and friends that are going to improve this club and continue to make it stronger. As mentioned before we need to learn from some of the mistakes and make improvements. We need to continue to support the people helping out and not find reasons to make negative comments. Once again, thanks to all coaches and workers and my thoughts are with the Pixleys as the health issues you mentioned are figured out.
